UNIQUELY HIS- Part 2 -Day 6

While preparing this part of ‘Uniquely His’, I got stuck reminiscing about a 4th grade experience, where my tutor first mentioned these three popular words, Omnipresence, Omnipotence and Omniscience. Under the subject of Religious Moral education, students were to know the words. These words, were not just difficult to mention but to spell and differentiate in understanding. It took, months of memorization to accomplish this.

These three words relate uniquely to God, derived from Latin, “Omnipotentia”, “Omniscientia” and “Omnipraesentia”. Where “omni” means “all“, “potentia” means “power”,”scientia” means “knowledge” and “praesentia” means “presence.”

The Omnipotence of God

The term “omnipotence” refers to God’s ability to do anything that is consistent with His nature.

"Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." Jeremiah 32:17
Jesus declares, "With man, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

He has the ability to bring things into existence, sustain them, and exercise control over every aspect of the universe. There is no limit to God’s power, and nothing is beyond His capabilities. He didn’t created the universe to abandoned it!! He’s involved and He’s Will is being done!

The Power that binds all powers is omnipotence surpassed! And that’s the Power of our God!

The Omniscience of God

Most Assuredly, God has complete and perfect knowledge of all things, including the past, present, and future, simultaneously, without needing to learn or discover anything. He knows all that is actual and all that is possible.

"Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit." Psalm 147:5
"I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'" Isaiah 46:10

God’s omniscience encompasses everything. He knows every detail about every person, including our thoughts, actions, and motives (Psalm 139:1-4). He comprehends the deepest secrets of our hearts and the mysteries of the universe. He is never surprised by any situation or event, he fully knows in depth both the big and small matters. He cares more than we can ever imagine- even the hairs on our heads are numbered, he knows our frame and every motive behind our actions.

God is not bound by the constraints of human understanding.

It is essential to understand that God’s omniscience is not influenced by human choices or actions. While God knows everything that will happen, His knowledge does not negate our free will. He respects our freedom to make choices, and His knowledge of our decisions does not mean that He forces them upon us.

Let’s be assured, God is fully aware of our needs, struggles, and joys. We can approach Him in prayer with confidence, knowing that He understands our hearts and listens to our concerns and in due time Will answer with Glory.

The Omnipresence of God

The omnipresence of God is one of His fundamental attributes, signifying that He is present everywhere, at all times, and in all places simultaneously, not limited by space or time, and He is fully present in every part of His creation.

"Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast." Psalm 139:7-10

God is not confined to a specific location or restricted to a particular form. His presence is real and active, interacting with all aspects of His creation.

With the knowledge of His Omnipresence, we are comforted and Assured in times of difficulty, that we are never truly alone. Recognizing God’s presence everywhere reminds us that He sees and knows everything, encouraging us to live with integrity and accountability, knowing that our actions are observed by the Almighty. God invites us to worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:24. And We can approach Him at any time and in any place, knowing that He hears and receives our prayers and praises.

While God is present everywhere, it is essential to understand that His presence does not diminish or divide. He can fully focus on each individual and circumstance, giving personal attention and care to His creation.

The stillness of God is with us, ready to move in the right way, because He’s all present in our lonely hours, and knows everything. He will always manifest with Great Power, He’s never late. He’s Right for us!!!
