Who can know the stillness of water, either than a deer, He basically pursues it, all his life.

As a child, I had a wall hanging with an inscription “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;”Philippians 4:6

I knew it had been hanging there all along, but I never paid much attention. All I saw were big big words which I’d not want to take the pain to find out their meanings.

A lot of incidents and occurrences made me unhappy but one thing I knew I’d treasure was some calmness! I could jump from one train of thought to the other and swing on different ropes of emotions without a safe hill to finally land on.

I read the scriptures but my focus was to find verses and twist it just to wallow in self- pity rather than reach out to the Arm of Peace. It took years but the Lord gave me a spot to land my weary feet. I learnt that, it was the Will of God for me, to be at peace

Can you lie down and sleep in a den full of hungry lions?

I bet this will be the hardest task, some of us we’ll pass out, others scream at our lung heights for deliverance, some will cry for mercy and plead for forgiveness, while others will plan failed escapes.

Daniel certainly had a support or backup, the guts and confidence to stay in the den of lions, whose claws taste like death! Amazing!!!

We all seek such a state of tranquility, calmness, quiet or sereneness and quickly desire to flee at the least smell of chaos, confusion and fear.

This Christmas, my focus; Isaiah 9:6, was on ….. a Prince of Peace. An Heir of Peace born and given to us who live on earth. This world was just the opposite of the Gift given, I wondered… “God do you trust us this much to send us Peace? Did we even deserve it? …”

Yes! yes, and I will do it over and over again…. Hearing this calms my spirit.

“ I give to you the gift of salvation with a flag of peace, waving towards you, saying, it’s alright, am at peace with you, draw close, there’s no condemnation here, there’s no criticizing here, there’s no reproach, it’s all settled, come!”

What peace floods my soul, thank you Lord!Jesus is the lord of Peace, and He’s for us.

There’s no safe haven than Jesus, it’s in Him we have Peace. Jesus is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever.

And even in this world in which we live, He has fought and won our future battles just to assure our Peace.

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”John 16:33 NKJV

Like the fishermen do, cast that net full of troubles, cares, responsibilities, guilt, shame, pressures etc, onto Him, He was made for such, He alone has the capacity to carry those. The cares of this world, the burden illnesses and the guilt of sin steals our peace, God doesn’t want that. He wants us to be at peace to be able to totally focus on him.

Trouble is volatile in the Presence of God, it can’t carry the weight of Gods Peace. He is the King and Prince of Peace, He reigns over Peace, He choses who to reign over, and He chose and blessed us with His Peace.

I remember the story of the Troubling Storm, It shook away the faith of the disciples until all they had left to show was fear. Now, there may be a troubling Storm shaking your faith, it may have successfully driven you into the corner of fear, will you use the remaining strength in you to call on the Lord, Now!!!

As the disciples cried for help, a cry to the Burden bearer and the Peace giver, He’s on the move to speak some stillness over your rolling waters and troubled heart.

Don’t be Afraid! If you are anxious, know that it’s for nothing!!! Nothing!!! Just Pray and Praise, Tell it all to God, He will overshadow you with Peace which is perfect, Peace that no one can understand.

Like that of Daniel in the Den or better say, the Pit of Death, No matter how low you go in the Pit, No matter how sick you are unto death, No matter how lost you are in the hurricane, Onlookers are worried!

But you call on the Name of your God, the one you trust, that can save you.

You will both lie down and sleep, for your God will make you dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8

He will fight each and every one of your battles just to maintain your peace. Exodus 14:14

The Kind of Peace Christ is giving us through His Spirit is ‘the Great and Surpassing Understanding Kind of Peace’. He has Fulfilled all righteousness, so that we’ll be entitled to such Peace forever.

Now Peace is one fruit of the Spirit, and for as far as the Tree of Life can not Die, it can also never stop bearing fruits. The Peace of God is Assured Forever, as long as the Spirit keeps bearing in you.

I won’t say disruption won’t come, peace-destroying opportunities will often than not, knock at your door, lurking and perking through your window, but thus how far they can go. Hold fast your vision,

Focus of Gods Assuring Words and messages to you, he’ll answer the door for you, fight the battles for you and keep your mind fastened on him.

Write down the cares and worries on sheets of papers, crumple it into a a little ball and throw it into a care box, the care bearer will deal with it.

As long as, our minds are fixed on Christ we truly have Nothing to worry about!!

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”Isaiah 26:3 NKJV

Prayer: Thank you Lord for your Peace which is perfect. May every waving storm be calm in me life. Take control lord in Jesus name Amen
