The King’s DOMAIN- Part 1- Day 9

From the grandeur of creation to the intricacies of our lives, journeying to understand the vastness of God’s authority and reign, we marvel at the wonders of He’s domain and humbly surrender to His divine plan.

"Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all." 1 Chronicles 29:11-12 (NIV)

This is a beautiful and powerful prayer of King David offered, acknowledging that all strength and power originate from God. He recognizes God’s ability to elevate and empower people according to His divine will.

In this prayer, King David expresses his deep reverence and gratitude towards God and acknowledges God’s supremacy, ownership, and authority over all things.

“Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor…”

He begins by recognizing the greatness and magnificence of God. He attributes to God all the qualities that make Him incomparably majestic, glorious, and powerful.

Then declares that God is the ultimate owner of everything in the universe. As the Creator and Sustainer of all that exists, holding dominion over both the heavenly realms and the earth.

He also affirms, that God is the true King, the ruler over all nations and creation. Acknowledging God’s supreme authority and position as the exalted ruler over everything in existence. He attributes any success or abundance to God’s providence and generosity.

David humbly submits to God’s dominion!! As King of Kings!!

The Kingdom of God is not just a distant, future hope but a present reality that impacts our daily existence. It is not a physical place but a spiritual reality where God’s authority and sovereignty are fully established.

The Present and the Future: The Kingdom of God has both a present and a future aspect. In the present, it is a realm where we acknowledge God as King, surrendering to His will and living in obedience to His Word. Whereas, In the future, it will be fully realized in the return of Christ to establish His eternal Kingdom.

CHARACTERISTICS of God’s Kingdom:

Righteousness and Justice: it is characterized by perfect righteousness and justice, where love, compassion, and fairness prevail.

Peace and Unity: In God’s Kingdom, there is no division or conflict, but perfect harmony and peace among all its citizens.

Forgiveness and Redemption: The Kingdom is a place of grace and redemption, where sin is forgiven, and broken lives are restored.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
